Sky should reward loyalty without end-of-contract haggling

At the end of each contract, Sky customers currently have to call and negotiate — often threatening to leave — before being offered a reasonable price. Sky could instead offer a sliding scale of discounts based on how many years a customer has been with them, or another automatic system, so loyal customers get fair pricing without having to haggle each time.

Make Barclays document alert emails say what the document is

When Barclays emails to say 'You have an important new document to read', it is usually just the monthly statement, yet the message still warns it may be important or need a response. It would be far more user friendly if the email stated what type of document has arrived, so customers can tell routine statements apart from things that genuinely need action.

Launch a national AI literacy drive for everyday use

AI is remarkably powerful for everyday problems - uploading a photo of an electricity bill to find ways to cut costs, developing a fledgling idea into a comprehensive plan through AI questioning, or fixing a router using photos of the back of it and screenshots from its app. Yet many people don't know these uses exist. The gap between those who know and those who don't will grow rapidly and disadvantage the people who most need these benefits. The UK should address this with a national effort to teach practical, everyday AI skills to everyone.
