The UK should establish a dedicated AI task force responsible for improving traffic flow across the country. By using AI to analyse and manage road networks, the task force could help make travel both safer and faster, getting Britain moving.
AI is remarkably powerful for everyday problems - uploading a photo of an electricity bill to find ways to cut costs, developing a fledgling idea into a comprehensive plan through AI questioning, or fixing a router using photos of the back of it and screenshots from its app. Yet many people don't know these uses exist. The gap between those who know and those who don't will grow rapidly and disadvantage the people who most need these benefits. The UK should address this with a national effort to teach practical, everyday AI skills to everyone.
