Trips, clubs and dinner bookings are currently spread across three different apps. A single calendar parents can subscribe to would save a lot of missed events.
Other European countries stagger school holidays by county or region rather than having the whole country off at once. Adopting a similar regional approach in the UK would help reduce flight costs and overall holiday costs for parents.
Schools should manage communication with parents directly rather than relying on volunteer class reps. Abolishing the class rep system would ensure everyone receives information consistently from the school itself, without depending on extra help from parents acting as intermediaries.
