Drivers currently need to download and register with multiple different parking apps depending on which car park or council area they are in, which is frustrating and time-consuming. It would be far better to have a single universal parking app (or interoperability between providers) so drivers can pay for parking anywhere with one account.
Payment machines that force customers to choose a percentage tip before completing a transaction should not become standard in the UK. To discourage this, people could refuse to use terminals with mandatory tip prompts. We don't want to follow the US and Canada, where customers are made to feel guilty for not tipping on something as simple as a takeaway coffee.
On Barclays desktop banking, when making multiple payments in a row, each new payment requires scrolling back up to enter the payee's name. It would be much smoother if the form automatically started at the payee name field, so the cursor is ready at the first piece of data you need to enter.
